New homebuilder Bookkeeper

Adams Homes of Northwest Florida, Inc. is currently searching for a Bookkeeper for our Pensacola, FL Corporate Office. The Company has been in operations for over 30 years and has a strong reputation within the homebuilding industry. This position provides the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the accounting/administrative side of operations.  As the Bookkeeper, you will report directly to the Controller and ensure that accounting and internal policy are adhered to.  Responsibilities will include maintaining timely and accuracy account balances before reviewing and analyzing general ledger accounts to support management reporting.


Duties: 


Accurately calculate costs in accordance with GAAP.
Verify and record entries related to lot acquisition and sales contracts.

Process accounts payable.

Timely reconciliation of asset, liability, and clearing accounts.
Prepare and analyze reports to senior management.
Perform quarterly/year-end close assignments along with internal audit collaboration.
Assist with special projects and analysis as the Company grows.

Requirements:

 

  • 3+ years of work experience
  • Intermediate Account Analysis
  • Intermediate Quarter and Year End Closeout
  • Intermediate General Ledger
  • Intermediate Cost - Job
  • Intermediate Account Reconciliation
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word
  • Certified Public Accountant, preferred
  • Audit Experience, preferred
